In 1Kings 19:1-15, there was a man who was filled with fear and running for his life. A woman who heard of his impact for God, began to send threats that she would kill him. Her threats were designed to stop him from fulfilling his mission. As this man heard her words, driven by fear, he began to run. His focus was on her words, instead of God. God spoke to him and reminded him of who He was. God reminded him, that regardless of what others said about him or threatened to do to him, it could not stop God’s plan for his life. God is committed to those who will trust him. God provided food and supplied him water when he had nothing.
I don’t know what you are facing today. Maybe, you were just laid off your job, or received a medical report that wasn’t what you expected. Maybe you can’t see how the bills will get paid or you’re in a relationship that’s failing. You want to run, throw in the towel, quit and give up.
Allow us to turn the light on for your next step. God will never leave you or forsake you. The circumstances of your life at this moment are not hidden from His view. God is committed to you. You must believe in Him and believe His Word. Believe His promises that He will turn it around for you. He will perfect that which concerns you. If you trust Him and take your focus off the situation, other people and yourself and focus on God and His Word, things will surely turn around. Believe it!
